VBPS Guest Network Terms of Service Agreement
By clicking "Accept" and connecting your personal device to the VBPS Guest Network, you agree to the following Terms of Service, which incorporate by reference the VBPS Personal Device Network Connectivity Policy and the VBPS Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
1. Acceptance and Privilege
- Access is a Privilege: Network access is granted as a revocable privilege, not a right. VBPS reserves the right to deny, revoke, or suspend access at any time and for any reason.
- Applicable Policies: Your use of the network is strictly governed by and signifies your compliance with all current VBPS policies, including the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the Personal Device Network Connectivity Policy.
2. Network Usage Requirements
- Mandatory Guest Connection: Your device will only connect to the designated VBPS Guest Network. You are explicitly prohibited from attempting to access or connect to the Core/Operational Network using any means.
- Compliance with AUP: You must use the network and all connected services (including internet, email, and communication tools) solely for educational or administrative purposes, and in compliance with the VBPS AUP.
- Prohibited Actions: You will not engage in any illegal activity, compromise system security, harass others, distribute malicious content, or attempt to bypass any security filters.
3. Monitoring and Privacy
- No Expectation of Privacy: You acknowledge and agree that your use of the VBPS Guest Network is not private. VBPS reserves the right to monitor, log, review, and retain all activity, including websites visited, data transmitted, and connection attempts, without prior notice.
- Data Protection: You are solely responsible for the security and protection of all private data stored on your personal device.
4. Limitation of Liability and Support
- No Technical Support: VBPS IT staff will not provide any technical assistance, troubleshooting, or configuration support for your personal device or its connection to the Guest Network.
- Disclaimer of Damages: VBPS is not responsible for any damage, loss of data, or interruption of service resulting from your use of the Guest Network.
5. Consequences of Violation
Any violation of these Terms or the referenced policies will result in the immediate and automatic disconnection of your device from the network. Further violations may lead to disciplinary action, permanent revocation of network access, and legal action, as outlined in the district's handbooks and policies.
